SHAKER CHAIRS

Our slatback chairs come in two styles, Shaker and Early American. All of these chairs can be ordered in cherry or maple. Seats are available in split reed (pictured below), Shaker tape, or fiber rush. These chairs are light, comfortable and strong - and economically priced.

SHAKER CHAIRS: These simple, comfortable three slat chairs are our version of a classic Shaker design. The candle shaped fineals and oversized "mushroom" handrests on the arm chair give these chairs a distinctive look appropriate to contemporary as well as traditional homes. The deep bowed slats provide increased seating comfort. Back height is 41".

LADDER BACK CHAIRS: This chair is a reproduction of one which was made in the town of Heath, MA during the early 1800's. The back is higher and the seat is less deep than the Shaker chair in keeping with the earlier period.
