Our pencil post beds are light and graceful, designed with a simple curved Shaker headboard and tapered octagonal posts. The bed pictured here is made of black cherry, a wood whose red color deepens and intensifies with age. Hand rubbed oil and butchers wax produces a soft, lustrous finish. Pencil post beds can also be ordered in maple and figured maple and stained as desired. High rails can be substituted for the lower side rail pictured here.
