Alan Nichols has been making furniture since 1978. His work has been pictured in Colonial Homes, House Beautiful, The Boston Globe, The Atlantic Monthly, & Kitchens and Baths. His designs are developed from traditional forms with attention to comfort and sturdiness.

All of our turnings are done by hand. Pieces are shaped with hand tools: the draw knife, spokeshave, and hand plane. We stain with water soluable aniline dyes which produce greatest color depth in the wood, and finish with oil and paste wax for a soft, lustrous look.

Our furniture comes with a life time guarantee except for woven seating.
